Indian hub on health systems

Indian Hub on Health Systems (IHHS) aims to facilitate and build on the contemporary growing national  interest/momentum  for strengthening health systems in India. IHHS is being coordinated by the Institute of Public Health, Bangalore. IHHS’s main activities include

  1. bringing out ‘Selected Readings on Indian Health Systems’ and ‘Readings in Public Health’
  2. establishment of the web portal that enables discussion as well as collaborative work by anyone interested on health system in India, and
  3. organising a national conference/workshop (see EPHP 2010) to advocate health system strengthening.

IHHS  is an initiative of the Institute of Public Health, supported by SWIHPS (Switching International Health Policies & Systems) network.

Selected reading in public health (current issue from Institute of public health,IPH)

This is a bi-monthly newsletter consisting of selected readings on health systems for public health practitioners, students, researchers and policy makers in India. Relevant articles are compiled and from national and international journals and are reviewed by public health experts for your ease in selecting articles based on your interest. Reading in public health (Institute of public health,IPH)

Readings in Public Health focusses on providing an exhaustive list of articles from national and international journals that are related to various components of health systems strengthening, with a special focus on the  domains of work at IPH, Bangalore (health financing, health management, tobacco control etc.). These articles are provided with the abstract and a link to full-text (wherever available). This is mainly for internal circulation at the Institute, but are available for download here.
