Anti-tobacco Walkathon
A walkthon was organised by IPH on October 19, 2010 engaging youth and concerned individuals to draw attention to Indian Tobacco Board’s sponsorship to Global Tobacco Networking Forum, a tobacco industry event scheduled to be held in Bangalore in October 2010.
where over 400 people participated. The participants were school and college students, members of NGOs and other civilians. The walkathon – aimed at increasing awareness and education about the harmful effects of tobacco usage – was teemed with a poster and slogan competition on the same theme.
