Training
Training and capacity-building are important activities of IPH. We work on improving capacities of staff at all levels ranging from primary health centre to state and national government.Acknowledging that India has a vast for-profit as well as a vibrant non-profit network of health care providers, we are also committed to improving the service rendered by them.

Research
Public health, often defined as a “science and art” brings together the need for scientific research especially to generate evidence for effective public health interventions.
IPH engages in research in public health to enable effective design, delivery and organising of health services as well as to feed into policy and influence it positively.

Advocacy
Advocacy is an important function for IPH. We are committed to using tools for advocating action based on evidence generated in the field. We are also committed to helping policy makers apply proven public health strategies in policy making.

Technical assistance
We undertake consultancy to help institutions involved in planning, organisation, delivery, reform or evaluation of health care. We have wide experience in working with state and national governments, inter-governmental organisations, aid organisations and the private sector.
